Dear you,

Even though we may not have met, and we are technically strangers, I want to tell you that I believe in you.

I know that life can be hard, and confusing. Exasperating, and sad. But, remember all of the times that life was the opposite. When you knew immense happiness.

Maybe that was a long time ago.

But, I want you to consider this:

Think back to a time when you were little. Maybe five or six years old.

Remember when you experienced something of pure delight, the way children do.

For me, its swinging; even though, this is how I got a concussion.

Whatever that memory is for you, it’s still part of you.

That child is still you.

You have the same capacity for happiness now that you did then.

When everything seems dark, remember that part of you that can still delight in simple things.

“I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being.” ~ Hafiz

Don’t be afraid to let hope carry you.

Because hope is simple.

Love, Love, Alexa.
